Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mass Effect 3: The good, the bad and the ugly - Why you might reconsider getting this game.

Blame EA not Bioware.

They never pulled off stuff like this till ME2. ME1's DLC wasn't intricate to pretty much anything. EA = We Want more money.

It's just that simple.

Mass Effect can rot in hell for all I care. I'm all about Dragon Age! Bring on the third, Bioware! And don't you dare repeating this DLC shitstorm.

they already did it in the first one with shale, and wardens peak. Except that it was free with new purchase.

Actually it was only Shale. Warden's Keep was exclusive to the the Digital Collector's Edition or the Ultimate Edition.

I don't remember which version I bought, but I got it, I don't remember buying any other one than the cheapest possible on PC. But you're right, I checked a couple places and it was listed exactly as you listed.

so they have done this, exact thing before. Though, how vital the content is remains to be seen (since I'm not trying to figure out what the dlc is because of fear of spoiling the hole game XD).

Well, I've heard some people say it's essential to the story, others say that it isn't mostly because it only adds squadmate capacities to a certain NPC. Frankly, I pre-ordered the CE mostly because of all the other content, not the DLC per se.

But yeah, this trend is nothing new with EA/Bioware. Warden's Keep wasn't exactly important to the story of DA:O, but it did give you a very nice addition to the game, the chest where you could stash things, plus it gave you a nice insight into the past of the Grey Wardens, though I don't think that it was worth the asking price for it if you had to buy it.

I don't entirely agree. The people at bioware are responsible to some extent, because they could leave the company, or cause some internal chaos (which maybe they're doing).

Not saying EA isn't money hungry, they are a big company. Just, no one working at bioware is a slave.

The whole industries gone more DLC heavy since the first one as well.

The character import issue is FAR more damning. It basically punishes long term ME players. I can't put into words how disappointing that has been. I can't even start playing the campaign because of it.

Doesn't ME3 have the same unique character code on the bottom of the customization? Even if you cannot import the face, could you just input the same code to get the same face?

Or does not being able to import the face voids you from using the imported character at all?

You have no idea how bad this is ...

I had no trouble importing my ME1&ME2 male shepard face, it came out identical (I even made a comparison side by side on the customization window). The only thing that was different was the hair texture, but that was because I was using a custom hair texture mod on ME2 and modified it with Gibbed Save editor, so I was already expecting that outcome.

I've yet to try importing my femshep to see if I face those customization issues, but thankfully it seems i'm unscathed.
