The Bioware social forums erupted after the ME3 ending was leaked.

It's lead to mass bannings of people saying bad things about the company and the Bioware Social Site even went down for a bit yesterday/today morning.

I don't understand why these so called "fans" would want to know what the ending was before playing a game.

The endings have been know for a while. A lot of people will be unhappy.

Well there was a script leak, but it wasn't a full leak was it?

Anyway the script leak a few months ago basically confirmed by suspicions that Bioware storytelling was basically so bad now that it's hard to redeem it.

And that's not surprising since the main Bioware writer left the company after working on The Old Republic. (He didn't work on DA2 or ME3)

There was another leak, with a bigger script. There are differences between the beta leak and the final version. But the main story is basically unchanged. If you were looking forward to different endings, abandon hope. Don't get me started on the Reapers and their motivation. Want to hear the dialog with the Reaper "Boss"?

Is the ending really that bad?

I thought there were multiple endings?

There are basically three types with small variations. Some things happen in all 3 regardless.

Oh so the final version is somehow worse...oh dear. I've heard about the dialogue with the Reaper Boss being so terrible that it ruins the point of the other 2 games, I think I'll rather just hear it in game. 

They ought to have had mass bannings a long time ago. The Bioware forums are an unrivaled den of creeps and weirdos.

Sssst. They might hear/read you. You don't want them coming after you.
