No. No, I don't think so. I'm all in support of BioWare doing ending DLC and modifying what's already there, but the multiplayer is legitimately fun and I'm having fun playing it with my friends. This Operation Goliath gives us something to work toward.

The game sold 2.4 Million units across 360, PS3 and PC at retail. When you add downloads onto that total, it probably sold well over 2.5 Million units in 4 days... If VGChartz numbers are to be trusted (We massively overtracked ME2 on launch).

2.4 Million is a huge number.

Huh, could pass up the first Mass Effect in a couple of more weeks. Mass Effect 2 in a few months, unless sales just crash and burn entirely (I don't think they will).

Wait what's all this about?

Read about operation Goliath. Basically if you can do a sucessful extraction on a Silver or higher mission against reaper enemies, you can win a comendation pack, which has one of the CE N7 weapons for MP. Also if the community manages to kill 1M brutes during this event, everybody gets a Victory pack, which contents have not been divulged yet.

All prizes can be unlocked starting tuesday on the MP store.

Also, out of curiosity, has anyone who's participating in Operation Goliath been keeping count on how many Brutes have you killed so far?

I've killed about 52 so far.

Not keeping count, but considering how many appear in SIlver and how many matches are going ot end in the tenth round, I think that hitting a million shouldn't be a problem. I wonder what's in the surprise pack for killing Brutes.

I want more Widow and M-37 Falcon upgrades. My Turian Soldier with Marksman and the M-37 Falcon is a beast (it also helps that I have an Assault Rifle Extended Barrel IV).

What shotty are you using? 

Eviscerator. My N7 level is only about 80; I've bought only a few Veteran packs and two Specter packs. I'm holding out for a Claymore, which is kind of problematic in its own way; the big reason I'm using Evi instead of the GPS (Geth Plasma Shotgun) is that the GPS is too heavy for the cooldown I want. The CLaymore is going to make this even worse, but I don't care, it's the Claymore.
