Just did gold with friends, 2 infiltrators, one engineer and one sentinel, 20/19/20/13. Full extraction, 73k credits and 276k xp XD. Managed to score 108K on this, insane beans.

That is just insane! Infiltrators are pretty much the most dominant class in the game.

Haha we just did another, got 104k score personally and 260k altogether 73k credits, took 37 minutes >_<

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

For those that beat the game.

I gotta say that is fucked up and if true: Wow.

The ideas of Shepard being indoctrinated and that kid being an illusion all along are pretty interesting, I must admit.

If they are wrong, anyways, we've reach that embarrassing state of a fandom singularity - they manage to outsmart, outguess and outplot the writers :P

Grab what you have, Bioware, and start pretending...

Infiltrators may be god-like on MP, but a well played Asari Vanguard can kick a ton of ass.

I did my best run with her (at level 10), doing 45K points (10K+ over the second place) and survived all 10 rounds with nigh a scratch.

Finally got my copy midday Friday (3 days late, thanks for that EA). More engrossed in this than I have been in any other game, only thing that compars is when the seventh Harry Potter book came out (I sound like a big nerd, I know).

Day 1 DLC is irratating but I couldn't ignore the content that was on offer (I don't care if it was free in the Collector's Edition, this way I got it for £6.80 instead of £20). One thing that does bug me is the way EA have found a way to sneak in an even more blatant and disgusting cash grab in the form of the ability to pay for the multiplayer supply packs. Seriously, if you actually fork out real money instead of in-game credits for those you don't deserve to be playing Mass Effect.

Buying the day 1 DLC and telling people they 'don't deserve to be playing Mass Effect' if they buy the multiplayer unlocks is sickening. Get off your high horse (yay for over-used phrases) you're just as much a part of the problem as they are.

I think I was caught in the hype surrounding the game, and I had had some fore-warning about the From Ashes DLC and was stunned at the inclusion of multiplayer unlocks. In my perception, From Ashes added something meaningful to the game whilst the unlocks don't, which is why I bought one and not the other. Suppose that doesn't really matter as buying either gets you kicked out of the Mass Effect fan-club.

Out of curiousity, how many people have actually bought From Ashes? Did it's content prove too inticing (as it did for me) or did there end up being a mass boycott of it?

Next DLC has been leaked. It is for multiplayer, new characters: Geth Engineer, Geth Infiltrator, Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Krogan Battlemaster and Asari Justicar.

Sounds interesting but have feeling if/when it gets confirmed there will be more fan outcry as it will be over-priced. Personally, was surprised Batarians weren't included in the multiplayer to begin with as they were standard-sized humaniods. Guess I've got my answer as to why they weren't.

What challenge was it? From my personal experience, drells and asari seem to have barely any hp/shields and I always seem to get downed :

I'm doing Bronze for now, since i'm still getting the hang of the MP.

It was in the Krogan base map against Reaper enemies. You're right about them not having much HP&Barriers, but the trick of playing them correctly (to avoid damage) is getting Biotic Charge to fully regen your barriers after each use and getting Lift Grenade with a larger area. You use the Charge into the middle of a group, immediatly use Lift Grenade and Statis anyone who's not lifted. Rinse, later, repeat.

With only a Shotgun equipped, you have +105% power recharge time, so I can use a Charge every 3,2 seconds.

Trust me, at silver and gold, it's nigh on impossible to play with such small shield/health. On bronze its more than manageable, but nowhere as fun. I have Mantis and Avenger X equipped, my recharge is at 90% ^^
