I saw that after going to the site to check out my account. Still, I sent them an e-mail through customer service department just to be sure. Since the CE is extremely rare and limited (it's out of stock in almost every store I sought), I just want to be sure.

It seems that way. From what I recall, it's pretty much out of stock in the US and here in Europe only a few stores have the CE version. Mind you, my search was made for the PC version, so the console versions probably have a bigger stock, but I've seen quite a few articles over at N4G talking about the CEs going out of stock.

In my local mall they have 2 Games and a Gamestation, 2 of which are located less than 100 metres apart. I hope they sell off the GameStation branch to another company, If they were to go under it would be ashame to lose all the Video Game Only Retailers in the UK, Although it would probably lead to the rise of the independant game store again, that would be cool.

they should close down completely cause they're crap.

About time, I think most big cities have at least 2 GAME stores within 5 minute walking distance of each other, made no sense whatsoever.

I'm not sure how big game stores our... but where I used to live there was a mall that had 2 gamestops... and there was a third gamestop on the same block, in the shopping center next to the mall.

It changed after 2 years, but only because they condesned the two mall gamestops into one huge mall gamestop, there are still 2 right there though.

I know its not the same.  but near me there are TWO gamestops in THE SAME mall.  They are each at opposite ends, I don't understand how stuff like that happens.

That happened because one was probably an EB (Electronics Boutique) and one was a Babbages or Software etc. before several sets of mergers and purchases created one store system -- Gamestop.

The company has two leases, probably both stores are profitable, so it keeps them both open.  When lease renewal time comes, it will reevaluate, especially if there is an increase in rent.

PS -- Gamestop was created formed by the Babbages/Software etc. combined firm to battle Funcoland. It's original logo was a series of red-yellow-blue-and-green letters with arrows (Think Funcoland collors and sort of a take-off on recycling logos).  It opened in strip centers while the others were in malls. But soon the B/S combo bought Funcoland (outbidding a then separate EB). So it eventually decided to brand all stores "Gamestop" though with a much different logo.
