I doubt Nintendo cares too much about the Wii's decline. It should still reach the magic 100 million mark by the end of the year, mid-2013 at latest. It's obvious that they're investing heavily in the 3DS and Wii U now. What I find more concerning is how low 3DS software is. Seriously, the system only has 3 games a week that penetrate the charts. The next two months ought to help, but it still sucks.

Oh my, ugly adjustments everywhere makes this week depressing for everyone...

About this week, excellent 3DS sales, decent WW for PS3 given the period and the economic crisis in Europe, bad the others, very bad PSV and Wii, but look at XB360, down WW WoW and YoY, like PS3 and most others, but its North American numbers are INSANE!

PS3 price cut never did that much and is now irrelevant, Wii is gone and 360 price cut is required but wont do too much to help IMO other than in some parts of Europe.

Bring on the next gen.

3DS + DS UP 66k or UP 33% (decent)
PSP + PSV DOWN 141k or DOWN 67% (god awful!!)

People seem to be banging on about the 360 performance in Europe. The 360 is down 25% there and the PS3 is DOWN 24%.... the 360 has a price cut to come.

I wonder if sales get really bad, if MS will cut in spring along with Star Wars Kinect. Or endure a very tough summer. I see Ninty likely to cut in the spring, like last year.

Surely Sony won't cut before September not really needed, and it would be an Image blow if done less than one year after the previous one, while Ninty instead could be forced to cut before they actually wish by plummeting sales. MS is indeed the one that has most freedom of all, they can wait to cut only when they really need it or they can cut before, if they want, it won't be by any means a rushed cut anyway, but a long awaited one. Maybe now Ninty is regretting having overestimated Wii's legs with reduced major 1st party releases and underestimated XB360+Kinect and PS3.
