Why is there a new one up? I saw a sign saying a new one is up. I can't update yet, anyone knows what it does?
PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

It's an optional update that "improves certain aspects of system software, and is not mandatory to connect to PSN."
Probably tweaking some PS3-Vita communication settings or something.

Hmm, mine is refusing to allow me connection to psn unless I get it O.o

On the blog they claim it's optional, but others are saying that can't sign into PSN without downloading and installing it.
It fixes some Vita/PS3 installation issues.
Looks like its mandatory.
