Forums - Gaming - Would anyone in UK or UAE like to help me out?

If you really can't find somebody else, I'd help you out. I don't really know what goes on, though, with customs and everything.

btw - have you looked at Bongo International? They provide international postage addresses, which you can then forward on to your actual address. https://bongous.com/eu-address.php

there are loads of electronic markets in dubai that sell AC or adapters for your AC, just buy it from there.

Can't you just buy a 2-pin to 3-pin adapter? I believe the PS3/Wii will be able to take input voltages ranging from 120-250V. When I went on holidays to US, I took all my handhelds, mobile phones with a 3-pin to 2-pin converter (cost approximately £1) and everything worked like a charm. UAE use similar voltages to the UK.

Just to make sure, read off of the power brick of your Wii/PS3 to check what kind of input voltages they can take, if it includes 220V in the region, then all you need is to be able to plug your system into the mains, which will require the above adapter I mentioned which you can probably find on ebay for $1 or 2.

With the PS3 this would be an option, but the power source in the Wii's cord is not universal. So with the Wii I do need an actual new cord.

That's what I'm thinking. I was hoping someone from UAE or similar would come in and verify that their game/electronics shops carry these OEM replacements.
