Then maybe Nintendo shoudn't show PS3/Xbox360 gameplay to demo it... Doesn't infuse a lot of faith...

We're moving toward a more digital era where digital releases are going to become more and more prominent and right now the only storage the WiiU is providing is internal flash memory...

Lets face it, EA or Activision rather you buy their games online  on XboxLive or on the PSN than at Wallmart, their share of the profit is bigger. Nintendo is going to have to provide similar channels and that will require internal storage better than what is scheduled in the WiiU...( i guess they could always do what Microsoft did with the Arcade and have a WiU model with a HDD..)



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Or just stick to having a SD HC slot which is way cheaper than including a hard drive. Plus, it is cheaper for the consumer since SD prices are freaking low.

The Wii has such a huge lead over Xbox 360. ~30million-ish.

But the million-seller list is shorter. You're saying that means nothing?

Yes the Wii still has more software sales overall but that only means it has more shovelware(inevitable for the dominant console in a generation). Also who can forget how each and every Wii is bundled with Wii Sports? That alone lowers the total software by ~78mil.

The million-seller list is a better indication of how successful a console is.

nintendos titles are always the main sellers on a nintendo platform but snes was pretty good on the third party side so maybe wii u will be what nintendo said . i expect it to because if the rumors of a 500 dollar 720 w a tablet like controller are true no ones gonna buy a 720 for 500 if they can get closely the same stuff now on the wii u

alot of those games you listed are mediocore at best. They dont touch most of the PS360/PC core games not even close. NMH is one of the most overrated games I have ever played, its not that good, the fact that the sequel did much worse leads me to believe that most people think so as well.  Red Steel 1 sucked, it had horrible controls. the sequel, better, dont know why no one bought it, maybe it just didnt have a big audience or people were so disgusted by 1 they said F**k it. Zack and Wiki, no comment. Madworld was bland, it was like a poor man's hack and slash game. Conduit 2?? HA, you're better off just buying one of the CODs (not 3) for Wii, or Goldeneye.

For me the condoms gave it more girth so it was nicer to hold on too and I could last longer which meant I could have more fun

They didn't show PS360 gameplay to demo the console. They showed it to announce upcoming games. They used original tech demos on the show floor to demo the console. I seriously doubt 2, 3 years from now when we're in the next gen, people are really going to care that Darksiders II footage wasn't running from a Wii U upon announcement.

No, the Wii U doesn't only provide internal flash memory (the amount of which no one is even sure of), it has USB storage as well. I have a 200GB portable HD, I'm sure it's not going to be that hard for anyone filling up the internal space to get a portable HD too.

And no, EA and Activision absolutely do not want to phase out their relationships with retailers considering the vast majority of their sales are there. Digital distrubtion of retail games is no where near a maturity and dominance to even offset the millions of sales Activision gets from CoD.
