So you really dont understand the concept of different audiences? My aunt who plays WiiSPorts will never play a COD and my dudebro friends play COD will never play WiiFit and the like and so on.  YOu wanna cherry pick Super Mario games, because you know that the same audience that will buy the CODs and Mario games have NEVER sold that well on any other Ninty system. BUt ignore the SW force unleashed, Need4Speeds, Prince of Persias, Fifas, Maddens, WWEs, Raymans, Spider-mans. Tomb Raider, actual multiplat games.

But hey if you truly believe that Wii owners are some massive hive mind and they all like the same thing, then go right ahead. But at least show some evidence, no Mario is not evidence he sells well on all Ninty platforms

I understand the concept of different audiences. You don't seem to understand the concept of entirety. The majority of 360 and PS3 owners doesn't care for CoD either, so it's dishonest to pick a majority of Wii owners and declare because they don't care for CoD, nobody on the Wii does. You are the one who cherrypicks.

Your entire argument is built around the audience that does not care for CoD instead of the entirety of Wii owners and then you go on to support it with multiplatform games that either didn't sell well on any platform or were notably inferior on the Wii. You even have the nerve to call something like Need for Speed an actual multiplatform game when the Wii got a completely different game than the HD consoles.

I don't leave out anyone of the Wii audience, I include them all. I say that there's enough of an audience to make core games on the Wii a (hugely) profitable business. The reason why it isn't is the fault of third parties by flinging crap at the Wii, not because Wii owners are not interested in core games. But you cannot accept that, because you have the urge to keep defending third parties for making games you wouldn't even think of buying, because you know how hard they suck.

If the table was turned around and someone said how disappointing sales of games like Bioshock and Mass Effect 2 were on the PS3 compared to the 360 versions, you would instantly defend PS3 owners and put the blame on third parties for making decisions that hindered these games' sales. But when it comes to the Wii, you blame gamers instead of companies.

Bioshock and ME2 have done great on PS3 IMHO. especially considering that they are year late ports. All the games I mentioned for WIi came out day and date. SO yeah your wrong there, try again.

I have Wii and most of the games i bought have been third party, so you're wrong again. Funny thing is the games that sold well on Wii are the ones I would never buy.  Need for Speed is a multiplat game, you talking about Hot Pursuit, boohoo, one game in the entire series got the shaft, there have been half a dozen games released in that series this gen, way to cherry pick one title in the series.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree. YOu think they could be profitable but at the same time say that alot of people moved on to the other consoles?? Which on is it. If they moved on to the HDs for lack of content on WIi what incentive is there now for them to even try??

You are a lost cause. If you can't be bothered to properly read what I write, every following post is leading to more misunderstandings, because you interpret wild things into it. Just like in another thread where you thought that I said people were buying Wiis for third party games, even though it was clearly a description of a hypothetical scenario.

Likewise, you cant be bothered to directly address any point I make, then its really senseless to countinue, I know where your coming from with your whole evil 3rd party thing anyway.

SOURCE PLEASE

PS3 doesn't even have exlcusive games that sells over 6 million.

Wii has exclusives games that sells over one million or 5 million.
Wii has Wii Sports which beat about 70% of PS3 games. Then it New Super Mario Bros Wii and Mario Kart Wii and the other games that beat all PS3 games out.

PS3 just have games sitting on one million while Wii has games going beyond that. No source me no believe.

what hes saying is that PS3 has MORE million sellers than the WIi. Yes the Wii has games that sell multimillions, but thats just one game, surely your not going to count WiiSports several times. Hes counting each INDIVIDUAL million seller.

The bottom line is that you keep moving the goalposts and avoid addressing points directly.

Is it really so hard to say that the lack of quality third party games wasn't the fault of Wii owners? Apparently yes.

And is it really hard to admit that the majority of Wii owners simply dont care about those type of games for WIi?? No it isnt the fault of WIi owners I never said that, Wii owners dont care so why would I blame them??

First you need to prove that the majority of Wii owners don't care enough to justify development for the console. Otherwise it's a baseless claim.

Look at the sales of the multiplat games, for a system that sells so much better than the competition why is it that only the dance and exercise and more family friendly affair does better?? And dont give me that the "wii versions always suck" cause even when that isnt the case, it still falls far behind the HD versions. I have numbers to back up my claim, can you back up that the JD crowd care about these core games?? Not saying they shouldnt put a good FPS or whatever on WIi, but I dont know why some are shocked your not seeing as much as the other consoles

When has a Wii version of a third party game NOT sucked compared to the HD consoles? Seriously, give me ONE game that third parties poured more time and effort into on the Wii version and I will retract my statement.

Consumers shift towards the superior versions of games, that should be common sense. And third parties have ALWAYS made superior versions of games on the HD consoles. They usually just throw shitty ports on the Wii and use it as a dumping ground for crappy games they rush out in an effort to make a quick buck from the large (and supposively gullible) Wii audience, then they whine about how the snooty Nintendo gamers don't buy their shitty games. Bullshit! Try actually making some GOOD games, and maybe some Wii owners will buy them. These companies will get no sympathy from me, at least until they make a game equal  to the quality of Skyrim or Batman Arkham City on the Wii. I am proud of Wii gamers for not buying the garbage they try to pass off as "games" for the Wii. Of course,  there are a few rare exceptions, but usually those rare excepctions have sold well.

At the end of the day, they get what they deserve. Garbage in, garbage out.. Wii has the worst third party support easily, thus it gets poor third party sales. Nothing surprising here. And yet somehow, STILL Wii has by far the most software sales. These companies should be kissing the ground Wii gamers walk on, considering the high software sales some of their games recieve for their utter crap.

Theres the rub, you wont see a skyrim or BAtman type game becasue, the WII cannot handle those games. FACT. ITs not anywhere near powerful enough to tod so, some of you Wii fans make me laugh, you cry about how its not being treated equally to the the PS360, its not being treated equally because it is not equal its that simple, to say why there isnt something like Skyrim on Wii is strange, hell WIi can barely run the CODs.

When has third parties pour more tiem and effort into a Wii version?? That makes no sense, Wii is a much less complicated machine, why would they need to pour my time an effort into it?  Consumers shift toward more superior versions of games?? Thats what I have been saying this whole time, you wanna blame 3rd parties go right on ahead. Keep it mind the HD versions are better because they are more powerful hardware, and more power means you could do more, that should be common sense

Hardware power has nothing to do with making good games. Game developers that are talented enough should be able to make quality regardless of the hardware. Look at Minecraft, it runs in freakin' Java and is essentially a bunch of blocks, yet it is epic in scale and regarded by many as one of the best games ever. Look at the PS2 - it was the least powerful of its generation yet most will agree it had the best games. The hardware is only a means to the end, it is not the end itself.

So you really believe a game like Skyrim could run properly on WIi?? What about Just Cause?? GTA4?? Any game that strongly taxes the system?? Because if that is what you mean, then we dont have to discuss anymore.  PS2 was the lead platform for its generation, it wasnt that much weaker than the others.  The Wii was NOT the lead platform this gen for alot of games, it was 360, which is still far and away more powerful which is why alot of the games never made it to Wii, or they just had other devs work on it.  Now if you believe that was the right thing for 3rd parties to do, is up to you.  I thought it was the right move IMHO
