I paid in my HDTV (Samsumg D8000 51") R$4300,00 (10x R$430,00 / ~10x USD$250)... today is easy to spend R$5000,00 here in Brazil.

There are taxing issue here yet but I expect a reform in tax system in the next years (simplified and improved)

To be honest, even though I can afford the system day one here, I think I'll buy it by importing it (it's much much cheaper) or wait a little longer until they announce better bundles. Not a big fan of buying things when they just release, since it's when a system usually show a bigger margin of hardware failure. However, Vita is making really hard to not buy it.

Day one for hardware is complicated... the failure rate scares me too... now for software (games) I'm a day one buy man .
