Lol, goodluck downloading 100GB PS4 games or 1TB PS5 games over 10 years

I am 100% behind digital media, especially for games. SSD's are so much faster, and can yield massive improvements to games over a very slow BRD. I hope that in the next generation we see many more full games being PSN/XBL/NN exclusive.

Right now the only issue with DD on the PS3 and 360 is the lack of a good storage option. Sure I can through a 1TB SSD in my PS3 for $500, but even that fills up fast. I look forward to USB 3.0 allowing external SSD's to deliver more content.

Nope. I have a 60gb download limit and download speed varies greatly. Steam works best at 12 mbps in the middle of the night, while Zune can hardly sustain 3mbps during prime time.

Plus I love extras that come on the disk. Making of documentaries, storyboards etc. Hopefully next gen there will be more of that again with all systems adopting blu-ray.

40gb game downloads will take forever and I can only do it once per month without it getting extremely costly.
For movies there's no comparison. 40mbps picture plus 5mbps lossless compressed sound vs 10mbps picture including lossy compressed sound without any options or extras.

Isn't that only true for music? Games are tied to the platform you bought it on, same as movies. Yet when you buy a blu-ray in the store you get a dvd and digital copy as well.

Stop freaking out. Full digital ain't happening ( it hasn't happened for music which is 10 years ahead of games, it won't happen for games). What will happen is that most games will start to be available as digital purchase from day one as well as retail purchase and the medium term effect is that within 5 years the console gaming shelves at your local game store will look like the PC shelf is now...
Which is in practice you will find the big franchises and others games will be available sparingly and you might have to back-order some of them.
And as a side result the used game market will start shrinking ( ever checked the used PC games at your local GameStop ?)

No, never. I don't even like titles like Mega Man 9 & 10 being download only. It's bullshit. If I buy something I should be able to set it on a shelf and sell it if I want. Digital Only has nothing to do with convenience and everything to do with control. Publisher want more control of how we buy and use content and this is the way they have found how to get it.

For porn I already am, for games no way, never.
