Brotherhood was good but it's time for a new protagonist/hero, a new timeline and setting. Paris or London during the Napoleonic Wars? Vienna for the Austrian Succession or China's Boxer Rebellion? Ubi's options seem endless but they need a carefully documented crises in a city they can faithfully recreate. I'll continue buying the IP late when prices drop but SecondWar's comments on Revelations are disturbing. If they're not careful ACII will remain the high water mark.

You mind elaborating on this?

Sorry.  Just noticed this.  You were saying it was a cut below the rest of the series and might have been based on a portable build.  I'll be getting it eventually anyway but with KoA: Reckoning, ME3 and Witcher 2 lined up it can wait for a while.  I find it disturbing the IP seems headed in the wrong direction.  I'm sure Just Dance is just great but AC is a major franchise for Ubi and a lot closer to my ideal game.  No offense intended.

That was just my opinion of the game, I have a friend who thinks its just as good as the rest of the series. I enjoyed the AC I and AC II because of the exploration side and the sandbox aspects. Brotherhood got away with having only one location as it was bigger that any previous one and included didfferent envrionments. Constantinople in Revalations looked and felt the same all the time and the only other location is some random cave city that you go to for one chapter, which just looked and felt boring. For me the storyline didn't compare to the previous games and felt more linear.

Its fairly likely if Ubisoft preview the new came in the same way they did AC II, with the brand new protagonist, a new setting with a refreshed design and new weapons that are more inspiring and useful that the pointless and confusing bombs in Revelation then I'll have completely forgotten why I was starting to go off the series. As it is now, its slipped from my list of favourite franchises.

ubisoft stop milking the franchise

add some innovation

add something new to the series

and stop it with those ancestors, i want to use desmond to chop some templars.

and stop making the game any more easier.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

AstroMaSSi rules

They have already over milked the franchise -_- They are determined to run it into the ground.

AC1 was a fantastic game for when it was released, a really unique experience.
AC2 is one of my favourite games ever. Made every single aspect better, had a great story, great characters, loads of content, a wonderful sense of progression etc.
AC:B.... still a great game but I felt it was a step back from 2. Adding assassins was good but they felt very empty, more like a special move than a brotherhood. The singleplayer was badly lacking with a reduced story and sense of progress, a much smaller map etc etc.

Then we get to AC:R..... good grief. It's not a bad game but it definitely isn't a good game. Even smaller map that also lacks ANY variety. Horses taken out of the game. Sense of progression removed even further. Bare bones story. Bare bones characters. Gameplay 'additions' that are some of the worst gameplay I have ever experienced, everyone who worked on the Desmond sections should be ashamed of themselves. Just a mess of a game. Basically the only good thing about the game was the core gameplay that is in essence almost the same as in AC1. Only AC1 had a better map, characters, story, atmosphere etc.

After AC2 I felt like I would buy every single AC game first day without question. After AC:B? hmmm I'm gonna read reviews first. After AC:R? urrrgg I'm gonna watch every single trailer, gameplay video, check reviews etc etc and even then be suspicious.

As in traditional fashion for the games industry they will be in denial they are over milking the franchise until it utterly crumbles and it's too late. It makes me sad because AC2 is just a fantastic game.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

I love the series, but I'm starting to get tired of it at the same time.

Too bad Ubi burned me with yearly cash-in's. If the reviews are good enough I'll get it eventually but I'm waiting a while before trying more AC. I skipped Revelations (as if it was going to reveal anything ahead of AC3 anyway) but borrowed it to try the first few levels and immediately had enough after 20 minutes.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
