The milk's gone bad. AC used to be my favorite franchise this gen.
Honestly, I'm kinda turned off by the whole series.

I haven't played Revelations yet, but it seems that they tried too hard to make the game more awesome from Brotherhood/II. I thought that Brotherhood was a fantastic sequel to II; the inclusion of the Assassins that you can recruit was awesome (and I loved the Cristina side story), but the tower defense game thing in Revelations is supposedly rather awful and hard to win. I'll get it anyway, but it'll have to wait.
As for ACIII being the biggest game yet; I'm totally fine with that as long as the quality doesn't suffer. I personally don't mind yearly releases for games as long as they continue being awesome, which the AC games have done so far imho.
Annual releases have ruined it IMO.

I think if they worked on a bianual release would be better, to polish more the games itself, including reducing visible tearing
Revelations killed this franchise for me, not waiting as eagerly as I would have a year ago. Also the games themselves are starting to show age, with the annual release and whatnot.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

hhmm... people in gaming forums start complaining about it...
...that means it will grow more successful ever year
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
