OMG..... I hope time will prove me wrong but, from the frist look, this smells like a pile of garbage.
Basically they were short of ideas, so they decided to make a compilation of the most popular trends of the moment: 3rd person shooting (what's more popular than that?), some re4/5 mechanics (not to mess up with fans), some randomic hack/slash (why not some guitar hero gameplay?), focus on sacred storytelling ( because it's vital to know Leon's feelings for his mother when he's surronded by zombies ).
So, what's left of the soul of the series? What will make this game unique? Nothing.
Not to mention, as someone else has noted, it also looks less polished than Re5.

This looks A-MA-ZING! Can't wait!

Resident Action 6 anyone?
Michael Bay must be directing Resi games lately.

MEH pretty much sums up what I think, it looks like they're going down the action movie route and personally if thats how it plays i'll avoid it like the plague.

Strange...after the trailer I also tought of Michael Bay.

Very nice 3 resident evils in one year is crazy though.

Its all RE4 fault. It was a poor 3rd person shooter that reviewed well.Because of that Capcom have kept Resi as a 3rd person action game and nothing remotely akin to what it was. It used t be a sllow paced survival horror game. Now its a poorly controlled 3rd person shooter. I liked Resi 1 because it was scary as hell and required actual survival. Same with 2 3 and Code Veronica. Then came 4 and wasnt even anything like Resi. Yet it reviewed well so we now have the diabolicl Resi 5 and now 6. 

Play Uncharted, Gears or Max Payne for great  3rd person action games.

Or for an action Psycological thriler with muc better story and much better controls Alan Wake.

Capcom why?

WHY?

I dunno how I feel.
The trailer started off well, Raccoon City, Zombies, going back too its roots Etc

Then came the COD Spec ops mixed with Gears of War?...

We're never going to get a proper RE game again, are we? ...I really hope there are 3 modes a la Uncharted 2 and 3.

Single Player (Leon- RE4 mechanics with improvement)

Co-Op mode (Chris and Team- Gears of War type style of gameplay)

Mercenaries (New Guy- Vanquish type gameplay)

Well, could be worse.. At least this isn't from Square-Enix...
