It certainly isn't out of the realms of possibility for Sony to become third party in the future but I doubt it will be the next gen. My guess is a more reasonable PS4 and then Sony will decide what to do based on its performance.


We have to consider that those Billions lost we because was using new expensive tech .. PS3 took like $800 to make!? then selling it at a $200 lost,then the forced pricut.. yea,that will do it. PS4 "shouldnt" have that problem.

The losses you're talking about are nothing compared to what they have lost with their TV and Mobile Phone divisions. If they were to drop a division they should drop those (without them they'd be billions in the black).

Anyway, I call BS on this Gaikai's prophecy of course.

It's Microsoft guys, they're joining forces with Sony who will produce the hardware while Microsoft produce the software. All the PS3's that have been put aside for Other OS number crunching duty by the air force were actually reserved to create a Paradox machine to stop the world imploding when news of the partnership leaked onto the internet. Thus in actual fact by saving the cosmos from a tear in reality that would ripple across the stars, the PS3 has come from it's auspicisous start to save the universe.

PlayStation is too big of a brand name for Sony just to drop it. As long as Sony still believe they can recreate the unmatched success of their first two home consoles, Sony will remain in the console wars. And Microsoft won't leave on the back of the encouraging success of the 360 this generation over it's predecessor.
