I can't believe my favourite character, Ashur, got tricked by that ugly miserable cunt Naevia. Ashur should have slicked her throat when he had a chance multiple times.

Oh well, i look foward to see her nailed to a cross in the following season/s. Her and the rest of her monger band (especially the germans) The only characters i really care for now are... Spartacus and Gannicus...and that's mostly because of their characters performance in last seasons. The rest are all dead...

The one big thing i didn't like about this season is how they portrayed the roman soldiers - like weak fools waving sticks like drones. They didn't conquer much of the known world by being like that. THEY DIDN'T ENSLAVE ALL THOSE GLADIATORS IN THE FIRST PLACE BY BEING LIKE THAT.

Hopefully, in the next seasons, we'll see the true power of roman army when Pompey and Marcus Crassus bring their crushing legions upon spartacus

To be fair, Glabber's army was (in real life) a rag-tag millitia. The armies of Marcus Crassus and his tactics like Decimato will show what Roman soldiers were really like.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I'm curious as to how they are going to end the show given what happened to the real Spartacus.

Just finished watching the finale. Are we allowed to post spoilers?
Though I thought the episode was absolutely brilliant, my favourite character and the reason I started watching this series is gone. :(

I actully didnt watch Ep9 right away. i saved it so i could watch it just before Ep10. Ep9 was incredible. i'm glad i saved it so i could watch both at the same time, rather than having to wait a week before Ep10.

that being said, the season finale was mesmerising... however i have a serious problem with the death of Oenamaus. i felt they had considerably marginalised his role towards the end of the this season and i didnt like the way he left the show. i think the character had a lot of potential.

i read the interview with Steven S.De Knight and apparently Oenamaus was killed so that Gannicus would fully embrace the rebellion. i feel like this is not a good enough reason.

i really enjoyed Oenamaus coming from the first season into this one. his character was conflicted, because he knew nothing more than the Ludus, his way of life had been destroyed in which case he found it difficult to find his place in this world. i thought that it was just getting so good with his character and Gannicus, they had just begun to become friends again. i felt like Oenamaus should have found his new place in the world as he saw the rebellion rise, with his relationship with Gannicus growing even further. i agree eventually Oenamaus would have given his life to save Gannicus, but i think he had more potential to take into the next series, it was unecessary to kill him just as he had found his true place in this world. even if they killed him half way during the 3rd season i would have still liked to seen him develop into a leader rather than killing him off to make Gannicus a greater hero. i think the friendship between them (like Sparatacus and Varro) would have been great fun to see in a bit more detail. eventually i agree Oenamaus would have sacrificed himself to save his friends, but i would've liked to have seen him a bit more before that. they didnt need to kill him off to make Gannicus believe in the rebellion.

and historically Oenamaus lived to see the beginning of the rebellion. which was disappointing, i felt it should've been Spartacus, Crixus, Gannicus and Oenamaus as the 4 heros of the show, it was disappointing to see him underuliterised for the later part of the season!

The Finale was... hmmm.... unsatisfying
Naevia killing Ashur? didn´t like it because of the scene when naevia is on her knees and he starts talking, and of course there was a sword next to her. But yeah its more important to keep talking some nonesense then to kick this damn sword away.
Then death of the Egipcan. Sweet baby Jesus what was that? That was a tremendous dissapointment.
And the worst thing was the death of Doctore. I mean these guys obviously don´t like blacks (yes blacks I am allowed to say that)
Who´s gonna die in the next season? besides of Agron of course.

Losing Oenamaus really sucked. His character was one of the more interesting ones and they seemed to delve more into who he was as a person in this season. I was looking forward to him and Gannicus repairing their friendship. He also seemed to be the voice of reason most the time, always with wise words to say.

Oh and AndrewWK, thanks for clearing us up on your right to use racial slander. Really dude?? smh

Since everyone is posting spoliers I guess I can express my disappointment too.

I remember the writers saying that they prefer writing about the female characters, whom they considered much more interesting than the male ones and then they decide to kill them all, except for one, who no one likes. The new Naevia is just bad. Her entire fight with Ashur was beyond stupid. I'm surprised that the gay couple didn't die as usual.

The only reason I can think of for killing Lucretia is Lucy Lawless deciding to leave the show, since she was not only the biggest star, but also the director's wife (so she could've stay if she wanted to). Absoulutely gutted that she's not gonna be a part of the show anymore, but it is still a very entertaining show, so I'll definitely keep watching.

Come on dude, that was just a bad joke. I had for more then 2 years a black Girlfriend and our child is black more then less. It was just my way to express my feelings about Peter Mensahs neglection. Cause Doctore was one of the most important parts of Spartacus´ army and Peter Mensah was maybe the best actor they had in this show.

In that case I find your comment even more peculiar. I too have a black girlfriend, of about 7 years now. And have a daughter who is half black from a previous relationship. I wouldnt use them as a "free pass" to say stupid stuff just because im on the internet. If it was supposed to be a joke it wasnt just the fact it was distasteful, it wasnt even remotely funny and completely out of place.

Jesus Christ...

Get over it, it was meant as a bad joke. B A D joke. I never say stuff like that if its not meant to be sarcastic.
