have been a huge fan of DOTA since 5.84b, would have played a few thousand games so far. has overtaken counterstrike at my gaming center.

I play quite a bit (TDA level) and have played DotA since the pre-guinsoo days. My laptop's currently busted with half the screen dead (wth?), so I have to stick to console games until I get a new one.

My bro plays it, he is pretty much a pro at it, its the only game he plays. I play it too but im not that good .

 TDA..that's in Azeroth realm right? So is that the same as allstars on Northrend? o.o  I actually only play league now.

Gas Powered Games is making a clone of DOTA called "Demigod".
Full Games based on Mod's have not had the best history quality or sales wise btw.
Counter Strike and Counter Strike : Source are the only exceptions.
The reason why DOTA is popular is because the Warcraft 3 engine makes it more accessible to gamers around the world (even the one playing on their low end systems), Interface is almost perfect, camera angles are great.
If demigod is going to be a graphics wh*re (playable on only 5% of the worlds computers) , it is bound to flop (Crysis anyone). And we do not need a complete 3D interface like a third person shooter. A true RTS interface like the one used on C&C3, Warcraft 3 would make it much more accesible.
