Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Launch Xbox Timeline To Celebrate New Year

Total Console Sales - 91m - 24m/25m from XB = 66m/67m for 360?

Oops, my bad, it's 57m 360 and 10m kinect, so old figures

OT: The timeline itself is pretty cool, nice to look back at all the events of the last 10 years.

It is a nice time line but wished it was longer =p. (and way to much talk about Kinect and its games X_X)...also the 91 million consoles sold was funny (24 milllion xbox/57 million X360/10 million Kinect) X_X.

Except you know as a fact that the 360 and Kinect numbers you posted are low and incorrect.  The front page of this site has the 360 over 64 million.  They are not including Kinect in that 91 million.  Only means one thing:  360 has sold more than we thought.  As Seece said, 67 million looks likely and will probably be confirmed at CES.

You know what that means, right?  The "who WON 2011" debate is far from over.  Ugh ...

No, I got it wrong, those are the figures that 91m 24+57+10 add up too. (they are old though obviously)

Did XBOX really ship 13.7 million units for its first year? And then what? ~15m for the rest of its lifetime?

Think the HW is roughly tbh, especially on the timeline broken down.

it did 24m for the entire gen, was inproduction for under 4 years I believe. So perhaps it did 13.7M over its first year and bombed the next 2.5

Did I miss that breakdown in the timeline or something?  I get that adds up to 91 million, but that doesn't really make sense as a milestone figure to put in here if it includes 9 month old Kinect numbers, you know?

Well that's what they have on the site, 57m 360's, 10m Kinects and 24m Xbox's. If you click on the site and click Hardware, it breaks it down for you.

I guess they will announce new figures at CES.
