Snipped it down to the most relevant of parts. Two reasons why Stefl will not be today's lynch:

Mafia-Stefl doesn't suck up to me like this. He also wouldn't throw in the caution of making me sarge if I happen to be mafia.

Secondly, his vote is simply for a win but prof marked it down as town win.

So I'm thinking Vette thought he could get some steam on a relatively easy mislynch. He has plenty of experience to know that town players make joke votes too.
