What's your opinion regarding censorship?

What's up with that? Why do you keep censoring messages? Unless it's illegal content, I don't see the point. If it's against the rules, (temp-) ban the offender (and maybe add a note to the post stating that its poster has been reprimanded. Deleting messages is pretty 1984, and makes threads hard to read.
