My god you think they talk about this every year at the same time. Wasnt this in the context of an interview.  Like Kowenicki said this sounds just like some lose PR.

The best Q4 was 2.1... it's hard to believe they ship 2.8m this time.

If they ship 2.8m in Q4 then the Q3 looks like 6.7m.

2.5 million sales in three week... VGC is tracking to 2.4m (using the same increase from last year)... on spot.

I'm not saying it will be 2.8, but if they expected that last year and the earthquake ruined that, then you have to ackowledge that might be their breakdown again this year. Or it is 2.1 and 7.4

7 and 2.5 seems like a good estimate though, don't think either will deviate either way from those.

numbers fighting this late in a generation is fun. market share is soooo irrelevant since 2009. It was clear there will be 2 HD consoles with more or less the same capabilities. So, nobody wants to dismiss a 60 million + market and support won't drop. That is why I didn't get the PS3 price cut. So they hit their target, but lost so much money. Especially Sony should start to look at profits rather than market share.



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
