Although I sank about a 100 hours into Skyrim it's not my goty. It's certainly very addictive and definitely the best realized game world this year but apart from the awesome world the rest of the game is quite average.
Portal 2 and The Witcher 2 are both better imo.

Much deserved award, I would still have loved to at least seen dark souls nominated, but Skyrim would definitely have to be my second choice.

Skyrim is probably my favourite of the year, though I have yet to play SS which could be a contender. I'm biased to PC and against shooters though, which somewhat limits the field.

You are an abomination for asking that. Lol jk, check my sig. Uncharted 3 can add Best ps3 game and best graphics to their many merits list. (its nd.. Nd engine.. Uncharted.. ). Sonys dominated the graphics goty for 4 years now. Mgs4, uc2/kz2, gow3, uc3/kz3.. The last of us looks like a jizz fest too!

I thought that would win, Sony exclusives usually have the best graphics so im not surprised they do well in that area. 

Though i definitley think Final Fantasy XIII had better graphics than GOW3.

Actually i take it back im surprised that LA Noire didnt win, that had fantastic graphics.

La noire had a great facial animation tech but the game is.. Not as technically impressive as UC3. IF anything, it shouldve been killzone 3 or hell crysis 2. The thing is though, exclusives are optimized on one platform and history is known to repeat itself because those games just keep slapping every graphic whore across the mouth. La noire looks great, so does Final fantasy. But from a pure technical point: polygons, a fucking boat w/a simulated physics for an ocean, the cargoplane, chateu fuck man ANYTHING. Its just jaw dropping for a vast majority. Same goes for the whole Gods, titans in GoW3. So yeah.. Well deserved in my opinion!
