Forums - Nintendo - Tales of Symphonia: KoR info

@soriku: ye, in the uk its really hard to find in shops, considering there really wasn't much of a gamecube section in any video game store here to begin with. i did find a used copy like 8 months ago, but it was ridiculously expensive and thought i could find it cheaper somewhere else.... haven't seen a copy since! :(

but hopefully not playin that game won't hinder playin this one

Soriku, there is a 'clear data save file' on ToS after you beat the game. I think that was used for your information if you wanted to cash in your GRADE and play the game again but with more enhancements (10x exp; I'm trying to get that now).

Oh, and a question, Soriku. How are you able to view the amount of GRADE you have without beating the game or going to one of those Catz outposts? I made a list on Microsoft Word of the GRADE enhancements you can choose for starting the game over again, but I need to know how much GRADE I currently have before playing ToS again.

I'm happy an elemental-location system will be returning (I'm assuming it will be similar to the one from from Tales of the Abyss). Without it spellcasters were incredibly boring to play as : (.

Form what read so far it seems like they didn't change much of the core part of the game, always a good sign. But there is one thing that has me worrying that it may not be the tales the I love. I've read somewhere that there's no field world and to me that might cut down the games' time to compete it, unless of course they have something else in mind to put in it's place.

@ Soriku I don't mean that every rpg game that does not use a field map means it’s automatically short and bad, I mean it does help the length in some way. I can’t even count how much I spent in ToS fields and now I’m imagining them not being in the game and all I can think of is there’s something seriously lacking.

It doesn’t spell doom for RoK though as they could be freeing some space for new elements/more story/or a deeper combat system. I’m pretty sure that Namco knows that they’re dealing with the best tales of sequel on their hands, so I doubt they’ll mess it up.
