Well they'll need to retired eventually... plus game development seems really stressful and is generally moving in directions they might not be interested in pursuing.

I'm not blaming you, i'm just saying that a lot of these rumors are just taken for granted as fact, but that we shouldn't confuse the fact

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Funny thing is neither Ueda or Miyamoto were actually rumored or even saying they would completely retire. Both said they would continue in their game careers. Ueda is supposedly doing freelance work and moving on to make personal projects and Miyamoto wanted to move onto smaller projects and lead the younger generation to the top of Nintendo.
In fact Miyamoto has talked alot about how he liked actually making games working on new IP and smaller projects. He doesn't seem to enjoy his current high position nearly as much as his old job. Him retiring to take a smaller role makes complete sense. I mean the last new IP (Small project) he did was Pikmin and that game was amazing. Get Miyamoto back in the development job he loved and let him go back to churning out some great games while both training the new younger employees and allowing someone else to take charge.
Fact is Miyamoto was best when he actually lead the development of games and developed his own IP and titles. Give him a couple studios to run and such and your wasting his potential.
Give Miyamoto that smaller role, let him create some new smaller projects. Man I would love another new IP, plus if Nintendo knows anything and share holders believe Miyamoto is the only guy at Nintendo capable of creating great games. Well then get him to create some more block buster gangbuster selling IP before he passes. Not to mention if he's so important to the company why waste their most valuable asset by leaving him in charge of multiple projects. When he could be creating another huge hit every few years, leave the established franchises to the other developers. Not to mention if Miyamoto is actually sitting in a studio working on a new game with some new staff can anyone think of a better person to train the staff of a new AAA studio? Personally I would go back and give Miyamoto a studio maybe 200 employees and give him free reign to do what ever the heck he wanted with that studio.
