I am not in the habit of asking people to try to get to a certain point in games before giving up on them, but I know your tastes well enough that I know this isn't right. Come now, buck up. Save your game regularly. Go do what needs to be done, and get to your first boss fight.

Skyward Sword should be taken in doses like long sips of cool water, appreciated in its every moment. Take in the scenery, the music, the people you're interacting with, Groose.

If nothing else, play for Groose; he's basically Biff from Back to the Future and he's the best side-character in the history of the series.

Haven't played many games this year, but if skyrim or MW3 win anything its a big joke. Portal2 for GoTY would get my vote. I'm not a big puzzle fan so i needed help on a few of them but the voice acting, dialogue and clever game mechanics make it a step above what i have seen for the other games.

I did save after I found that totem that let me go back and forth to Skyloft.  After that, I chased that cowardly plant thing and I just turned off the systerm.  But you're right--Fuck Groose.  That asshole needs to be put in his place.  I know I'm gonna love Skyward Sword when I eventually sit down and play it.  It just didn't grab me, yet.  It's making the same mistake that Okami made.

I'll have a week off from work soon.  I'll dedicate that week to Skyward Sword.

It's not a "could", it's going to; it beat out Uncharted, FIFA, Arkham City, and Skyrim, in that order. Last time the numbers were publically available it was slaughtering Assassin's Creed at a 70/30 split - and that's the final matchup.

It's a foregone conclusion.
