Thoeretically, you could use a power on your team to make it seem like you had a role that you didn't. Just like in one round where I said my power told me that someone visited me, and it was vette, who was trying to recruit me. I knew that I would be informed if someone tried to recruit me. I was mafia.

I went on to tie for the win that round. It's not that crazy of a scenario.
And, you're twisting words. I didn't say you were recruited. I said that a role who finds out names would be useful for someone who is looking for someone, and is usually a recruiter. The only question is why that role didn't use it yesterday.

If I were to not consider any possible roles the mafia manipulating the votes, and there was no lying, then I'd say you were copped and came up innocent.

I see what you're saying, but as you said why not use the power yesterday? And I didn't twist your words to say I was recruited, but the only way I could see the flavor happening is if my hypothetical partner tried to recruit me.(and that would obviously fail since we're on the same team already)

I think it's a town role, but cannot be certain. I do know I was not recruited, nor have I been informed of anything changing me(vote thief or whatever else may exist) except that my character name was revealed. I don't think we're dealing with any cult-like factions, and I can only think of a rolecop or poisoner as mafia abilities which could have affected me, since I wasn't RBed and am not dead. It would be very odd for a recruiter to announce their own name. Furthermore, I am able to find out not only which player targeted me, but their name as well. I didn't know the flavor was going to happen, otherwise my plan was to call out "Hai Yo"(if he agreed to outting or a large amount of votes called for it) to claim the visit at the same time. Like being visited by a FN there is no reason to lie about the visit even as mafia. It wouldn't confirm him, but my goal was only to be confirmed myself.

I'm not giving a name. "Hai Yo" has clearly chosen not to come forward.
