Wow, I can't believe the people who think you can't right-click or use Word on a Mac. Mac's have always had Word and have supported two-button mice without third party software for at least a decade.

As to the complaint that Macs cost too much, they cost roughly as much as any other similarly powerful retail PC that you would get from Dell or Lenovo. You're not complaining about the cost of a Mac versus a PC, you're complaining about the cost of a retail PC versus a custom PC built from wholesale parts.

One final word to those who tout superior Mac security: Don't get too comfortable. It was a long honeymoon, but malware targeting Mac OS X has finally been seen in the wild. I'm not saying you should rush out and buy an AV program right now, but following the same best practices that PC users should follow would be a good idea. Don't click on any suspicious links and don't enter in your password unless you're dealing with a trustworthy program.

Probably angry PC owners because of the Mac commericals.

I never got the point of those commericals.

"Hey our product is so niche and rarely used no one has decided to develop programs to take advantage of it!"

That's  kinda like saying "Use our hot air baloons for bombing missions instead of stealth bombers.  You've never heard of Anti-Hot Air Baloon missles have you?"

That about sums it up. Unless you play WoW, then the Mac is better :)

PC running windows XP. Windows Vista is not so great right now, but i'm trying to remember if Xp was any better when it was first introduced a few years back.

^ I think word is the standard in word proccessing, everyone has easy access to it when they get a windows PC.

Also a lot of people are not smart enought to look elsewhere

I would say that LaTeX is the standard for scientific word processing. Maybe just for normal uses word is good. It does not however whatsoever compare to LaTeX.

Try writing a paper in word.

Yes, XP was a lot better. If you were on Win 98/95/Mil (most people), you got the stability of NT with the UI you knew.

Vista gives you nothing you don't already get with XP. Yes, you get DX10, but the only reason you don't get that on XP is because MS won't give it to you, not because it can't be done.

The bugs are not Vista's problem. The main issue is you give up resources to run it, and gain nothing in return.

Windows may suck in comparison to Mac OSX or Linux, but for compatibility it is unparalleled.

A PC gamer just doesn't have any other options.

 Wine.

Wine works very well, but it still doesn't work as well as XP for newer games. I occasionally play TF2 when I'm in gentoo, but most of the time I use XP because the performance hit with wine is so big. I use Gentoo for everything but games though.

PC.

I have zero use for pretty much everything the Mac offers, I hate vendor lockin, the Apple premium sucks, Apple networking with non-Apple products blows, and "Apple Geniuses" can kiss my rear.

It must be hard to find a gaming console you like then. I don't know of one that doesn't have vendor lock in.
