I find that strange when there are so many other "kinect type" options.
PrimeSense has teamed up with Asus to bring the tech to PCs and TVs

I remember watching CES 2011 on TV and they were a "dozen" kinect clones all promising the same if not better.
Surely Sony can find a cheaper option.

Good point

lol rumors on the internet

Around the Network

Strictly from a controlling the tv viewpoint, I think it's more important for the set top box to be able to do this as opposed to the tv itself. I would guess that after calibrating their tvs, most people hardly use the remote that comes with it. In my house, day in and day out, all of my tv remotes just sit there. The TW cable remotes do all of the work and honestly, I'm sick of them getting lost so bring on anything that eliminates the physical remote for things like channel changing/dvr operation.

How are Sony tvs doing these days? I know Vizio is kicking ass along with a few others like Sammy and Panny but I don't know how Sony's tvs are doing globally.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
