Forums - Gaming - Rapper Soldiers on making new game!

Well back in 2008 famous rapper Soulja Boy announced he was involved with the making of an Xbox game. The game for 360 hasn't really been heard of since, many speculated it would be a dance game or karaoke title like that based on MJ or Black Eyed Peas. But it would appear that Soulja Boy is going to try to fiddy cent the games industry.

The games name was announced just barely as well as early art work. The art work and name suggest the game is not likely a dance or karaoke title. Rather the game appears to be an attempt at creating a legit full fledged title. Little else is known of the title other then it will see release on Xbox in 2012 and will be titled The Beginning: Corelated. A PS3 version is probably going to happen as well, Soulja Boy's Tumblr account doesn't say Xbox rather "Soulja Boy the video game".

It isn't clear whether the game will actually be based on Soulja Boys real life or a complete work of fiction using Soulja Boy's brand recognition. We should all remember 50 Cent's two games and while they did have some fan support they weren't all that great. I wonder if Soulja Boy can make an actual high quality title.

Interested in hearing more about the title, even though I am not a fan of Soulja Boy it'll be intriguing to see what he does to make a game based on his alter ego.

What do you think can Soulja Boy pull off a high quality title? Or will he fail like 50 did? Is their really a market for rap artist games based on their alter ego's? I mean yah 50 was shot 9 times and gang oriented it could have been a decent product. But Soulja Boy?
