Sqrl - is there any parts of this game that hasn't been annoying yet?

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

It's not all annoying. There are a few cool parts. However, it's universally accepted that the dump truck mission is one of the hardest.

I kinda liked certain things about this game. It was pretty basic in gameplay terms but it had good sound design and a decent voice-cast, and I also enjoyed the cinematic allusions and the way it was structured as a series of distinct set-pieces.

But yeah, the dump truck was a bitch.

There is a lot of trial and error with checkpoints, but overall I don't mind that too much. There are just some parts where they basically force unreasonable expectations on you and I kind of get the impression that it is their substitute for content (haven't played the whole game so thats just a gut feeling atm). I still don't plan to play any more of the game but up to that point the game was probably something I would of considered a budget title...after that point well..I think you know the rest.

To Each Man, Responsibility

it just gets me when developers seem to think it's an accomplishment to deliberitly wind you up with a clip you cant skip through right at the start of a part they surely know you're gonna have to repeat several times or (not applicable to this game but gonna get it off my chest anyway) make the very last level in a game so much harder)!!

The amount of times i've been sat screaming "i've dedicated 20 hours of my life to this game - i'm gonna see how it ends!" and yet i never did
