I think he meant to say:

"Damn, it was looking good for a while there but then Nintendo busted our party with that damn Wii. Still at least they're sticking it to Sony too. Who figured that while we focused our entire strategy on licking Sony by getting a headstart the world would embrace the Wii. At least we still have US (hah!) and are selling well there - better than anybody and I don't want to think about sales of Wii software catching ours like the console caught ours in half the time it took us to get our sales... it ain't gonna happen and don't tell me how Wii and DS titles are starting to take the top spot in the US charts 'cause I don't want to know. We're the leader, okay? Even though we're not really anymore. We got to 10 million first! Okay Wii got to 10 million even quicker but we started first so that's what counts!"

I mean, credit where credits due the 360 has done pretty well, the software does have a great attach rate but that is really if you confine the analysis to US only. As someone else said titles like Fifa sell more on PS3 still and will sell even more on PS3 this year vs 360 than last.

Still, he's not paid to spell out the hard facts of how Nintendo is the top dog right now.

Around the Network

There seems to be a counter spin here, where some of you are spinning this to be worse for Microsoft that it is. Of course they spin numbers, but they clearly aren't in trouble.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I LOVE how ms is all about "the revenue"...yeah because they have yet to generate a single CENT of profit on their billion dollar sink hole that is their "game division"...lol

I said it earlier, they had absolutely no good news at CES..apparently Sony is stealing the show.
