Yo there, Guten Tag, Konnichiwa, Aloha, Shalom, or whatever.
This thread is dedicated to Spoilers in Trailers, and the thought, that some take it too far.
For Example, FFXIII (probably the worst example of all). as the little Fanboy i was (and still am, regarding older Final Fantasies) i watched every trailer Square threw out for FFXIII, and if you take a look at the FFXIII Page on Gametrailers* , there are several trailers, each between 3.5-7 minutes, and you really see everything that would have been stunning beforehand, which doesnt manage to really surprise anymore, because it already felt familiar, instead of mindblowing. - and even though the scenes are, abviously, longer, imagining what happens is far easier and less suprising, when parts of it were shown and known earlier.
To me, FFXIII was a huge dissapointment. Not because it was bad, but i really thought, in pretty much every chapter, "Gnah, i saw that coming. - saw most of it in Trailer XYZ".
the reasons above made me mostly Ignore Stuff from FFXIII-2 in order to prevent this, and i watched the first trailer (and the E3 footage) and thought - ah, well, thats fine - spoiling the tone of maybe the first few hours is acceptable. but then i accidentally clicked the newest 7 minute trailer earlier today, and since it was teasing me all the time, i risked to stay. luckilly, they threw something i really didnt want to get spoiled in the very first minute, enabling me to close the Video, even though it was tempting to continue.
but yeah, i think they really ruin the experience for some fans that want to get pieces shown before the game comes out, since they put SO MUCH into their trailers. i really hate that. <.<
did you experience stuff like that too?
