This is likely due to holiday deals ending, but there IS the fact that this also comes after the Warner announcement. The appearance is there, whether some of you want to admit it or not.

Not really. I honestly don't care much about format war although I do think HD-DVD is better but thats just my opinion. I own neither and didn't plan on buying into either until dvd went away. I'm not that much of a videofile to care enough to be an early-adopter. What gets on my nerves is the fact that the prices were raised just because they could.

You say one negative thing about Sony or Blu-Ray and they jump on you like rabid parahana's, basically a number of Blu-Ray players were put "on sale" for 2 months during the holiday season to combat HDDVD sales and pricedrops, now that the sales over the prices are being brought back up.

 My guess would be prices are going back up so when they start bundling them with HD TVs for the superbowl sales it looks like you're getting a better value.
