Forums - General - Blu players going up in price

I honestly think you just want to turn people against Blu-ray because you are bitter about losing. No company has raised their prices, and you can already see sub-$400 players on amazon, new.

This is likely due to holiday deals ending, but there IS the fact that this also comes after the Warner announcement. The appearance is there, whether some of you want to admit it or not.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

On Amazon I was only able to fine a used one for 300. Searched retailers, nothing under 399.

ya theres nothing on this page on amazon under $399

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_2?ie=UTF8&rs=&keywords=blu-ray&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ablu-ray%2Ci%3Aelectronics

All players have been marked down.

oh, Its really not hard to type Blu-ray into a search bar.

If you actually click on the price link you'd see those marked down prices are on used models.

The Samsung sold NEW from Amazon is only $338, and the Sony is only $369. Yup, nothing over $399. *rolls eyes*

Still way up in price than what it was about a week ago.

It's still $150 cheaper than they were a month and a half ago.

Not really. I honestly don't care much about format war although I do think HD-DVD is better but thats just my opinion. I own neither and didn't plan on buying into either until dvd went away. I'm not that much of a videofile to care enough to be an early-adopter. What gets on my nerves is the fact that the prices were raised just because they could.

Will you stop lying already? Ending a sale is not raising a price. Your motives are entirely disingenuous.

???? What motives?

You're dealing with the sony fanboy squad, have fun replying until your hair starts falling out from the frustration. You say one negative thing about Sony or Blu-Ray and they jump on you like rabid parahana's, basically a number of Blu-Ray players were put "on sale" for 2 months during the holiday season to combat HDDVD sales and pricedrops, now that the sales over the prices are being brought back up.

My guess would be prices are going back up so when they start bundling them with HD TVs for the superbowl sales it looks like you're getting a better value.

Please don't feed the trolls.

I would agree with you if it was mid January.

I honestly think its a coincidence. These are normal prices(what they were before black friday)

After Thanksgiving this year we will see 100 dollar blu-ray players. bet on it.

I see sub $399 players. What's the problem?
