Looks like Nintendo is going to become a pure 1st party only system after 2013.

Chark said: Are you talking the RAM is a little low? Does it matter at that speed? Especially if I'm interpreting that APU correctly but it has a 2 instruction cycle with the capability of out of order execution. WIth that and the way it sounds threaded it should be able to pull up anything regardless of holding on to things in the RAM. If it wasn't an APU I'd be a little concerned, but it is looking very modern. Unless I don't know what I'm talking about. |
No speed... size because the Durango seems to have ~6GB dedicaded for games... the speed is really good for the APU.

Where are you getting 6GB? The rumors speak of 8GB with 3GB dedicated to OS. The final build will most likely not even have 8GB.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I think Durango will have 8GB with 1.5-2GB dedicated to OS in the final build... ~6GB for games... I can't see the Durango with 4GB memory.
Updated OP and 2nd post with better details and clarifying some items.
So much going wrong with what I was hoping for. Its becoming painfully clear that while WiiU will be able to do the same types of technology (GPU focus, shaders, etc) its weak CPU and tiny/slow memory may cripple its capability to get quality 3rd party support.
I still think that unlike the Wii, it will be simply a factor of scaling the game visuals down while keeping the rest of the game the same. But, 2013/2014 will clearly prove one way or another.
More than likely Rol is right and it won't matter as 3rd parties just don't want to see Nintendo succeed and will ignore it regardless of anything else.

Did you really think the Wii U GPU (400GFLOPS) is comparable with the Orbis/Durango GPU (1.2-1.8TFLOPS)??? There is a high tech gap between them.

GFLOPS isn't everything. That's just speed. Hence why it would need to be visually scaled down... in other words Orbis/Durango 1080p60fps and WiiU 720p30~60fps.

There is more gap than just 720p to 1080p... Wii U won't have power enough to run next-gen games.... so no third party support again.

While you may not be wrong, I am not convinced you're right either.
