I could totally be happy if Wii U and PS720 is similar to PS2 and Wii....!

Well, so far lot of things imply that at least 720 might end up at least some 4-5x WiiU. That's your modded vs vanilla Skyrim, for example. ;)

Fine by me :D should mean Wii U gets all the ports, and good ones at that ^^

Hehe, well, all right...but it seems you haven't seen fully modded Skyrim ;)

Still, it's gameplay that eventually makes or breaks the game, so I get what you say.

Clearly more powerful? I'm not seeing any clear indicators of such power whatsoever. I'm seeing poor port performance and graphics that are on par with the existing consoles. There is no PGR3 from the Wii U whatsoever and I can't see one on the horizon either...

Rushed ports are a stupid thing to use as a comparison and even there people are ignoring the fact that its being done on a new console and holding steady while outputting to two screens in HD at different resolutions.

Nintendo's first reasonably polished game is upcoming in Pikmin3. (look at environments from latest videos)

You'll also see that in Rare's game more than likely if it is the rumored Metroid Prime continuation type of game.

Then you have minor games like a couple of the eShop titles that are 1080p native (720p on other consoles).

Frankly, if you're just looking at launch ports and Mario... sure go with your thoughts. But if you look at technologies and changes in architecture that are present in the GPGPU etc, you'll see WiiU hasn't even come close to showing what it is capable of.

:)

No I haven't :p It's nive that we have an understanding here ^^

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Yet the 360 ports didn't have such issues....

Pikmin3 is on par with other console exclusives. It doesn't show any sort of superiority.

Wipeout Fusion is 1080p native...Don't try to be condescending when you have no evidence to support your claims.  The technology shows how electronics has become more efficient, but Ninty have chosen not to go with power, but efficiency in a small form factor instead.

1) yes many of the WiiU issues are present on 360 on certain games, additionally, they are rushed ports. What part of that makes no sense to you?
A full game ported from code optimized for completely different architecture (CPU focus vs GPU focus), created in a very short time by a team with zero experience on the new console. I was hoping for better, as were many others, but the facts are it simply could not happen. (hint: same thing happened on 360 launch)

2) I listed it as showing improvements over launch titles. Not that its best thing ever. You do realize it takes awhile for games/engines to be built and optimized?

3) wipeout is not on wiiu eshop. I was referring to games that are also ports, like Trine2.

Its been noted here many many times. WiiU has similar CPU, a lot more ram, a lot more eDRAM, a better GPU and far more modern GPU. Those all mean its clearly a more powerful system. Hell, just being able to match performance on games like AC3 while having no real dev time and outputting to two screens should prove this.

What I meant was that the games ported to the 360 from the PS2 & Xbox didn't have poor performance on the 360. This scenario that a brand new console performs worse then a 7 yr old console is unheard of, and rather bizarre.

It was clear with the Xbox 360 and PS3 that they were significantly better then the generation before them. This is not the case with the WIi U. There has been no PGR 3 or Resistance.

Yeah Wipeout is a 1080p game for the PS3 on PSN...I'm saying that 1080p native resolution isn't a new thing.

The Wii U may technically have slightly better specs (let's not forget it has to power the pad), but I, and everyone else, is waiting for it to put theses specs to use in a game. There is no flagship Wii U game that screams "burn last gen, I am your master".
Playing games on a brand new console to the same performance of one that is 7 years old really proves nothing...

Like the most realiable rumor is the PS4 using the AMD A10 I did some research in the google to know how much powerlful the top A10 system is today in the market (you can buy it).

The review is about the A10-5800K.

Modules/Cores CPU Clock Base/Turbo L2 Cache GPU TDP Price
A10-5800K 2 / 4 3.8 / 4.2 GHz 4MB 384 cores @ 800MHz 100W $122

Well the Specs is not that good... just meh.

CPU PERFOMANCE

Meh CPU too.

The GPU is not bad but it's not good too... no enough to 1080p@60fps in 3D... I need more... MEH.

The power consumption is way better than the PS360 at release but it worst than Wii U... the only thing not meh until now... good.

What did you think?

Kinda why I keep saying the other next-gen systems won't be all that much more than WiiU. But dreamers want to dream I guess.

Add a relatively high end GPU and see what that performance amounts to?  Like literally, are there any benchmarks?
