Metacritic user reviews for the win. They downgraded DA II as well so they are automatically heroes.

Even if you consider this MW 2.1, its still better than 80% of the games out there easily.

To bad thats the only new thing about it.  Same game, same maps, same graphics.   This game series has done nothing inovative by them selves.

Why do they care? They will still sell millions more than black ops did anyway.

The vast majority of those who buy it won't even what Metacritic is and the vast majority of those who are familiar with it and bought the game were going to buy it regardless of user reviews.
In short; it doesn't really matter, not even one bit.

the user score is still awfully inflated imo.

I've been to Metacritic three times in my entire life and I'm pretty sure the majority of COD gamers don't even know what it is. This guy is on the internetz too much and clearly doesn't realize that most gamers don't give a fuck about review scores.

Reviews have an effect but on many things it does not.

For example reviews for Transformers 3 and Pirates 4 were terrible and yet they both made a billion dollars each globally.

I think it's sad that users are rating the game that low. I haven't played it yet, but I know that it is a solid game. I would definately pick Battlefield 3 over it, but MW3
