Forums - Gaming - Joe Danger dev understands PS3 owners' anger

I was happy about Joe Danger going Multi but calling PSn people "playtesters" is really bad form.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

For what it's worth, PS3 owner can download the awesome, former XBLA exclusive, Hydrophobia. It's supposed to be improved, too. See--there is balance to the force.

Except that 360 only owners, as a whole, won't feel betrayed.  PS3 fans should really feel embarassed by those vocally complaining about this.  I mean it's Joe Danger, not MGS4 Hypersubsistance!

I'm sure the devs of Hydrophobia didn't call 360 owners "playtesters."

Hydrophobia got the huge upgrade in February after their developer screwed the pooch with its release last October, FYI.

"They've been our playtesters for the changes we've made to Special Edition."

This is what pisses me off. I could give 2 craps about it going to XBLA. But why don't I get the full version when I've already bought it?

because you already brought it?

I mean it's no different than special editions, GOTY editions etc and is a very common practive when it comes to delayed ports. Sure it's a bummer but that's capitalisim, the developers have no obligation to to give you extra features after you hav brought it.

Ofcourse it is, for example, I buy Fallout New Vegas for PS3, then I find out a year later (Well, a little over a year), an "Ultimate" edition is being released... which I can still buy... for the PS3...

I buy Joe Danger, and find out a year later that a Special edition is being released... which I can't buy... because it's exclusive to the 360...

If a game is a late port, that's fine to add content, however, specifically naming it "Special edition" and calling me a playtester, I'm not going to stand for that, it's fucking ridiculous, and I've lost all respect for this indie developer now, which is weird because a good 60% of games I buy are by indie developers... (You should see my games on PSN and Steam)

You can still buy an X360 and avoid future discomfort.

@Mrstickball, what upgrade? I got Hydrophobia for 360 but didn't play it that much. I was tempted to grab the PS3 version since it's an improved version. Does the 360 version have those improvements?

Yes. Go play it and it should prompt with the update. Its a near-total revision of the game.

^^^^SWEET!! I'll fire it up tomorrow!
