Forums - Gaming - Joe Danger dev understands PS3 owners' anger

I dont mind that there going muilt but saying "They've been our playtesters for the changes we've made to Special Edition." makes me regret buy the game. I wish the no success if this is how they treat the people that made them the devs they are today

Yeah, the wording they used makes them sound like total douchebags, which is kind of a bad thing, because from what I've played of the demo of Joe Danger, it's a really good game. They say things like this, too, because I do believe they are making another Joe Danger game. I wonder how a move like this will affect sales, if it does at all.

It was a stupid game anyways, either stay exclusive or dont release your boring games on PSN at all.

LOL. It was a great game and I am glad XBOX owners now have the chance to experience it. They shouldn't make it exclusive just because random fanboys on the internet will be upset.

That is bad wording there though.

Can someone please tell me how this is different to, for example, Tales of Graces coming to the Wii, only to be superceded by Tales of Graces f for the PS3 later? Is it just the console of choice as to why we haven't heard this kind of argument before?

This time it's happening TO sony and not for sony's benefit.

Are people angry? Amazing. Poor choice of words though - nobody likes to spend money and think of themselves as a playtester for someone else.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

i honestly don't think I saw anyone who was 'angry' :S where are these angry people? and horrible horrible wording there with the playtesters bit...that's gonna come back to bite them in the ass a bit for sure. all in all good game,,good to see others get to play it

I think his comments will come back and bite him in the rear.

XBLA is a slaughterhouse only for bad devs, or devs that try to copy another games' gameplay (e.g. Joe Danger and Trials HD).

I'm sure knowing that Trials sold about 7 times as many units as Joe Danger would make him envy Xbox Live Arcade and not try to demean or deride development on the platform.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I don't think I've witnessed any anger about Joe Danger going to XBLA.  Calling paying customers 'playtesters' is sure to breed some though.

And worse he thinks he understands why ps3 owners are upset when really he hasnt a clue.

Agreed. And in any case; what's the big deal? Its good that Indie developers get to share the love!
