Yuji Naka’s new studio make be working on a Wii title

Yuji Naka, creator of Sonic, has started a new dev house. The company, Prope, is partially funded by Sega. It seems that the team (37 members as of right now) may be working on a title for the Wii. It hasn’t been 100% confirmed at this time. Also worth noting, Prope will not handle any Sonic titles. That may be a good or bad thing!

Creater of Sonic.......hmm sounds interesting.

The best part is that it's not going to be a Sonic title. New IPs FTW!

We already have enough sonic titles so yes I am very happy with a new IP.

Hmmm I wished Miyamoto would make another IP too..

You know its a bad sign when the only thing you're widely known for is 17 years old...

I don't have high hopes for this new developer, but I'm more than willing to be happily surprised.

That's not entirely true; he's also known for the original Nights as well as the original PSO.

Still, what has he done for me LATELY?!

Hates Nomura.

He also created NiGHTS and Burning Rangers.

But, yep, it seems as though he hasn't done much of note recently...

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

NiGHTS isn't exactly well-known.  You'd have to travel some pretty far out circles to have even known about it before the new one and most people still don't know it.  Sonic, on the other hand, is still well-known... even today.

Nah I am sure a lot of developpers could dream about that.

And you sound like  'Being known as the creator of Sonic  = Bad thing.
