Well it did get A LOT of publicity from it, all over the news, on most gaming forums hot topics for weeks

And as I expected when they announced the Welcome Back deal, It was a main factor in selling more content. Sony is smarter than people think. Games they offered LBP, Dead Nation, Super Stardust all have DLC. Then giving people free PS+ was practically marketing it to them.

The free publicity they got from the month-long outage, plus the Welcome Back package probably helped with that. I'm sure the great lineup lately has been helping a lot, too.
