"The PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.73 update is live and ready for download, optional of course.  According to the PS3 Twitter account, the non-mandatory update improves "stability during use of certain PS3 format software."

Just like Sony, no details about what the update is about or if any improvments at all besides PSN moniotingto stop piracy and hacking of accounts.  Good Luck Sony With This One ...

I remember I read a headline about that somewhere not long ago.

Heh, why would anyone not update to it if that's what's offered?

i like stability - that's why i use an upgraded balder shield as it has higher stability then any other shield i've come across so far.

Hahaha, I knew this was gonna be about DS prior to clicking. I just started the game today, love it.

i saw the demon's souls avatar so i figured you'd get it.  xD   ...and dark souls has so far been better then demon's souls.  the open world formate add a lot to the game and they did such an intelligent job with the level design.  so very very good!!

huh, didn't realize they did optional firmware updates. Nice I guess since that means I don't have to be bothered with it the next time I decide to use my PS3 for Netflix.

Also, moving this to the Sony forum.

with all the hacking that's been going on, they need better security updates.....
