Fenix is a jumped up cheesy fool. He is also hilariously uninteresting as a character. Drake on the other hand is the opposite.

We are only a few posts in and here comes the damage control already..

lol. I like to identify the premise of a thread and kill it early.

But actually... I think what I said is true.

Its like comparing Indiana Jones with Rambo.... I wouldn't go out for a drink with rambo (he insane), but indy might be good company until I get bored of his gentle wit and all round good guyness.

That's exaclty how I see it. Drake is likable, deliberately so. Marcus might apeal to some as a "badass" but to me his character just comes across as an asshole.

Drake easily to have a beer with. Marcus is just a cipher designed to appeal in a very narrow way.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

This is a popularity contest right? Which character do we as a community like better?

I don't consider myself clairvoyant, but uh, I kinda know how this is going to turn out.

If there was a poll, I'd vote Fenix, because Gears of War is my favorite new IP this gen. But you know, Drake is a quality character. I guess it IS possible to vote for one without having to tear down the other. Amazing.
