Amazon Japan has revealed a new accessory for the Playstation 3 based on Final Fantasy XIII-2. Hori will be releasing a protective cover for the system, featuring an artwork of Lightning from the upcoming multiplatform role-playing title. Right under her portrait, you could see her name, the official logo from the game as well as the following excerpt: “In the world where I once existed, time’s path is no longer certain…” It is compatible with CECH-2000, 2100, 2500 and 3000 Playstation 3 models.  You can check out the full shot of the Final Fantasy XIII-2 protective cover, as well as the latest screens from the game, in the slideshow to the left of this article.

The Final Fantasy XIII-2 protective cover is made by Hori. It will be released in Japan for 1,980 yen (or approximately $25.77 in U.S. dollars) on December 15th, which is the same day the game is launching in that region.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on January 31st.
