"The USAF, in testing their pilots for visual response time, used a simple test to see if the pilots could distinguish small changes in light. In their experiment a picture of an aircraft was flashed on a screen in a dark room at 1/220th of a second. Pilots were consistently able to "see" the afterimage as well as identify the aircraft. This simple and specific situation not only proves the ability to percieve 1 image within 1/220 of a second, but the ability to interpret higher FPS."
When you think everyone is wrong, maybe you're the one who is wrong.
I only notice (or care to notice) in racing and fighting games.

There are so many racing games locked at 30fps with better speed sense then other at 60fps... the fact you saw the difference is because others points combined... that's my original point, 30 or 60 fps alone doesn't matter.

games with good use of motion blur, make it very difficult to tell it is a 30 fps game and not 60 fps (uncharted for example)

I have nothing to contribute to this thread, but I had to comment on this. This was hillarious. Kudos.
Quem disse que a boca é tua?
Qual é, Dadinho...?
Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!
When I play a game for many hours it the frame rate is stable sometimes I can't tell if it's 30 or 60. But when you start to play a 60fps game after you played a 30fps one for some time I notice one hell of a difference. Also in some fast paced games I notice the difference immediatly. I remeber switching from 50Hz to 60Hz on last-gen (PAL) consoles. In games like Soulcalibur, Burnout, Smash Bros, Tekken the difference is immediate.

True, but that game is not exactly fast-paced.
