Game rumors:

* Sports party game (100 meter dash, curling, etc) 
* To feature Rare's iconic characters
* Rare experimented with a wand type device for gesture controls but scrapped the idea
* Vision camera utilized for both controls and for face mapping onto in-game assets
* Content packs will be released for the game that will include additional sports

Rare has iconic characters?

Nice Rare, I liked GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, and Banjo Koozie from the N64 from them.

I'm thinking about getting Perfect Dark Zero for the Xbox 360. According to Gamerankings it got an average score 81%, not a must-have but decent pick-up bargain game.

But making a Xbox Live Arcade party game with their icon characters will be a special treat for followers of their (Rare) games.

I believe this rumor because the name is to good to be fake and that rare hasnt said much lately so why not make a small project for the xbla? Also, the only "iconic" characters that i can think of are conkers and banjo, maybe that red bird. wow 3 heavy hitters.

On a side not who would like to see conkers in as a character in brawl? I know i would.

That was my biggest regret with Nintendo losing Rare. I think Conker and Banjo/Kazooie would have been awesome additions to Brawl. However, I am reluctant to call any of their characters as iconic. Hardly anyone remembers Saberman. Conker's sales were dismal. Joanna Dark was redesigned for her second game, so I'm not sure which image would be the iconic one. Viva Pinata was a disappointment. Banjo/Kazooie? Maybe. But BK2 didn't do that great, and it was 2 generations ago. Hell, look at Diddy Kong Racing. It's filled with Rare characters, and most of them just suck as characters. Don't get me wrong - I was a huge Rare fan in the N64 days, and their games gave me some of my fondest gaming memories, but that was often in spite of weak character designs (which may be why they have done so well with licensed characters).

So.... it's Mario and Sonic at the olympics, right up to they considered motion controls and isntead of Mario and Sonic they are using less popular characters.

Could be interesting so long as it dosen't become the random mashfest most games like this become with a standard controller.   The Camera thing sounds interesting.  360's answer to the PSeye?
