No, you're right. You completely disregarded any possible reason I had for making the statement and used WIFOM to make it evidence against me.

I'd recommend you as a good lynch.

Enlighten me, what are your good reasons to make the statement?

That's for me to know and you to figure out.

Apparently, the way you figure things out is by lynching. How clever.

And you really must think I'm an idiot if you think I have no reason other than keeping myself alive.

Actually, here's something that should help my case. Contrary to what I previously thought would be best for my role. I strongly recommend myself being copped.

I hate to but in,  but......

You claim that you will scan guilty if a cop investigates you, hence why you say originally that he should not investigate you as thats how you will show up.

But now you are saying he should?  Why?   What benefit do we get from that?   A wasted cop investigation to tell us something that you already told us, is one I can think of.  So he can confirm you are telling the truth about you scanning scum?  That still doesnt tell us anything.

So how does it help your case, cause all I see is it hurtung the town, it puts us a day behind like it did in the last game.

Linkz is challenging me to do better than he did, IMO.

And yes, I would like to be scanned. No, I am not mafia.

You didnt answer the question

I think prof is implying that with a cop scan we can verify the sanity of the cop. If he's telling the truth and the cop is sane, the result will be guilty. If the cop is insane, the result will be innocent. It's a dumb move, though, as it wastes an investigation without knowing prof's alignment.

That's not what I was saying at all, but I can see that this is starting to become a nuisance. I said what I said, and I had a reason to say it. I'm playing my role the way I'm supposed to and I'm not scum of any kind. Let that be the end of it. Again, this is not to test the sanity of the cop, though I will note that you just created an opening for a fake cop claim.

I certainly did not create an opening for a fake cop claim. The cop role is in pretty much every game. If anybody wanted to fake claim cop, surely I wouldn't be the trigger. It's nice to see that you're trying to paint me in bad light for something trivial as mentioning the cop role, though.

day 3)

Vette, about to be lynched claims he investigated Trucks (whom the mafia thinks is the doc): Trucks is scum, I investigated prof night one and trucks night 2, prof was innocent, and trucks was guilty, therefore I'm a crazy cop.

See what just happened, doofus? Who is going to counter-claim crazy cop? In fact, last game I pushed ABC to say Trucks was guilty by investigation, only to lead to a series of questions that would in turn point to ABC being crazy. Crazy cop is a very safe scum claim. Furthermore, it's additionally safe because then a scum can go hinting at being a cop, without having any real disadvantage to having the real cop counter. In this way, they can both goad people who are reading between the lines into mislynched while at the same time testing the water to see if a cop even exists. It wouldn't be the first time that there was no town cop, and scum discovered that leading to a false cop claim which went through perfectly because the same game had a red herring miller.

I'm not denying that crazy cop is a good claim, just that I helped scum to find a good fake claim. If the scum players have experience, they don't need "my help" to find a good fake claim.

I'm not saying you helped them figure one out. I'm saying you created the context that might later on contribute to doubt later in the game. Generally, another scum will create this context by saying something like, "hey, there might be this due to what we've seen so far". Like last game where scum used the context of name=alignment to try to mislynch trucks. People bought into it because it was suggested.

So, yes, you did create opportunity. And yes, scum usually create the context. Additionally, you're playing much better than you usually do, which makes me think you're scum. And by that I mean you haven't said anything slap-in-the-face-scummy....yet.

Not really sure how I boxed myself in Prof.

I've literally said 2 things the entire time. The first was simply me saying I'm ready, and the second saying I don't understand the logic between you and hatmoza at times. You two ramble on about completely random things in nearly every game, and here you are, doing it again. How this implied that anything about my thought on roles this game, I have no clue.

Don't get me wrong, I know all too well how you try forcing ideas into people and manipulating everybody in this game, but there was absolutely no reason whatsoever why you would think I've "boxed myself in."

You know with everything I've said so far about linkz hating me, or how he's challenging me to do better, or a contradiction, along with "reaching into the bottom of the bag for my role", one would think that it would be a good idea to check an outside source.

All you guys come off as sloppy, and trigger happy.

If this is supposed to be implying that this is all some grand act aimed at making us do research on 999 in order to deduce your character, I hate you.  I'm not going to participate in sidestepping rules Linkz clearly set down for this game regarding character claims.  (don't even try to hint at it.)

Other than that, Hatmoza, I think prof has said a lot of weird shit today and if he's going to act all Loony Tunes he should be prepared to face the conequences.  He's an outlandish role ("dipped far into the bag") that scans guilty but the cop should investigate him anyway?  Do tell.  No wait, I don't trust you so let's let Linkz tell.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

well prof, sure I don't know every role, but see I really don't need to in this current situation. Rules say you can claim, for me that means I really don't have to bother guessing at your role.

Right now I think 3 things that would not have you be "just scum". Either you're a jester, or you're a bomb. Third thing would be linkz giving you a weird role where you have to claim to scan guilty... he did say he put individual limitations on claims, so the role could forbade you from claiming further. Sure, that's an option, and if so, you went the wrong way about it.

Vote : Prof

(I don't care if you're a jester or a bomb, first one I think is a ridiculous role ^^, second, can't do much about it).
