So I will be going to the US next month and my cousin tell me that even though new games are listed 60 dollars on gamestop site, they are like 68, cause they have 12% tax.WTF? Here in Europe every game is listed with tax incluced.Are games on the shelves in stores priced with tax included or not?And is there such thing for consoles- So PS3 would not be 250 dollars, but how much? Is that thing also in Canada, cause i'm going to Detroit, which is close to the Canadian border, so I can get a new console from there, cause I would defininately want a new PS3 Slim Console, cause I have only FAT.

Tax is rendered at point of sale here (and thus not on the sticker) yes. Taxes vary, however, from state to state and municipality to municipality. Pennsylvania tax alone is 6%, but within the city of Philadelphia, tax is 8%

If you're going to Detroit, look into Detroit sales tax or Michigan sales tax. If Detroit has a different (higher) rate than the rest of Michigan, go out of town.

Yes consoles are taxed. It's 6% here in Michigan.

EVERYTHING does, except for nontaxables like food.  Even then in some places some foods have sales tax.  (Junk food, Soda).

And, yes it's stupid, and no i don't know why it's like that.

Sales tax is a set price on all goods. That price varies state by state.

just a warning, depending from which country you're from and well.. luck.. at the custom control you might have tp pay an import duty...

@ Kasz. Pretty sure Ohio has a sales tax on all food and clothing, just that the overall rate is lower than PA. I know my family in Akron loves to go shopping in Grove City (very close to Ohio border and to where i live) because of the tax-free clothing

Does it?  I don't remember it having sales tax when i lived there, never much paid attention tough honestly.

Live in Vegas now though.  No tax on food or soda or anything except for fast food.
