Can the X360, PS3 and Wii reach the sales targets?

PS3 51.8 + 3.2Q3 + 6.3Q4 (same as last year) = 61.3M shipped, 1 mill on shelves roughly , 60.3 mill sold. So I think it will do it if it's flat yoy.

this is the option i was looking for as well.

i'd like to know why. are you expecting PS3 to sell 500k throught Nov-Dec? even with 500k+ a wk they would sell 59-60.


60M - 53.2 (current ps3 sales ) = 6.8M  is your expectation for ps3 sales between now and the end of the year.

6.8 > 6.2    ...and the ps3 is currently selling at a negative YoY weekly sales rate.

so no, it won't break 60M by the end of the year.  close maybe but it won't break that milestone.

*caviate: this is only my opinion assuming VGCz data is accurate.  if the ps3 is undertracked then my opinion could change.

thanks but i can't look at last yr cause if it wasn't for the 300k drop in the last wk of Dec. PS3 would have been even closer to 15m and i've always said 2010 is not 2011.

this really wasn't getting moded over. i'm really not getting any good answers, just notions and boring analistic figures. i'm looking for something i'm not getting from you or the other guy who i don't know.

360 is the only one that can do your prediction..the PS3 one probably won't and the Wii doesn't have a chance in hell.

People have pretty much already said everything, but

The 360 should easily pass it.  PS3 will come close, could pass it if there are any adjustments for the last quarter.  I have no idea what you were thinking with the Wii.  It'll be lucky to get half of that.  They only forecast 12 million for the fiscal year and you think they might do 11.7 million in the holiday quarter?

i think the ps3 can do it, with FFXIII-2 and Ninokuni in japan, it'll have some big boosts, add to that uncharted 3 and the pricecut and it might be able to pass the 60M mark.
it's assured that the 360 will pass the 60M mark.
Wii? not so much :S

your browser is not updating the main screen properly because in mine i have the same numbers you describe in the sales section.

about the question in hand... i think PS360 will do the 60 millions but wii will not get to 100
