Philly and Pittsburgh is one intense series. Beautiful play off hockey.

Agreed, I think game 4 is gonna be an absolute dog fight.  Game 3 was as entertaining as I've ever seen.

The only thing that sucks about it is that I had Pittsburgh going far in my pool. Looks like I'm screwed.

Still standing by my Florida going far prediction though. There's always one team that shocks.

I accidentally double posted and have no idea how to delete it.

I think the upset team to go far has to be LA this year, they are just off to a tear in the playoffs.

I would have to agree there. LA never looked good this year to me. They lost to the Avalanche 4 times.
I am still surprised at Philadelphia though almost as much because there are a lot of new players on the team this year. Though they did dominate the Penguins in the regular season so I am not as surprised. Mostly surprised they won some of them by so much.
Philly might be waiting a long time for an opponent. Sometimes good. I hope they get the Rangers, but it seems unlikely if the Devils win it and the Sens pull another upset.

Good late win I hope they pull off a win in the series.

Sorry Marks it is time to go to Chicago and take out Radim Vrbata and Smith. They will be owned.

The one thing I feel the Vancouver game shows is what I have said all along. There is too much parity in the league as the Presidents trophy winners cannot handle the Kings. It was well fought game and Shneider played well, but not enough for Quick. I think I am done with that series. Not upset, but this early exit surprises me.

The other thing showing the parity is the huge amount of overtime games. I swear there must be a record for the amount played so far so early.

Haha no way man! The Yotes handled them no problem in game 1, and would have had game 2 if they didn't let one in with 5 seconds less. You're counting them out wayyy to early.

And I think everyone on VG owes me a steak dinner for calling LA beating Van! Unless LA has a collapse of monumental proportions they have this series down pat.

You could put it in your sig!!!

Time for the Coyotes to lose. I hope you have tissues. Chicago's building is so loud it is going to be great!

You'll be able to hear a pin drop in the United Centre after Mike Smith shuts them, and Radim Vrbata nets himself a couple beauties.

I hope it isn't the Rangers.  They are in our heads hard.  Season sweep this year, we just cannot play a full game of hockey against them.  If we do have to play them I hope it is in the Conference finals after two 7 game series in which Henrik gets super tired from being Super Goalie all the damn time.

Phoenix is REALLY starting to piss me off. First their goalie acts like he just got hit by a tank, getting Shaw suspended 3 games, now Torres completely decks Hossa, sending him to the hospital and winning the game at our place in OT, that very well could have been ours had Hossa not been injured. There needs to be some major retaliation..

Yeah I don't know why Mike Smith exaggerated the hit so much, but it was still a dirty ass hit by Shaw. Chicago knows Phoenix is a team that relies on defense and goaltending so taking a run at their goalie like that is completely classless. I fully support the 3 game suspension, if Smith was injured it should have been longer.

As for the Torres hit, it was clean as a whistle. He didn't leave his feet until contact was made. Sadly the league will probably still give him a game suspension for that clean hit because of his previous record of suspensions/fines.

And as for "there needs to be major retaliation", Torres' hit on Hossa could well have been the retaliation you're talking about, for the cheap shot on Smith.
